My Story
My name is Anthony Winans. I come from the heart of Detroit, a city known for its fight, its grind, and its resilience. I was raised by a single mother who worked endlessly to put food on the table and a roof over our heads. We didn’t have much. But even in the middle of that struggle, I had this fire in me… this deep desire to break the cycle and become more than what my environment tried to make me.

See, where I’m from, it’s easy to get lost. The streets will swallow you up if you’re not careful. I watched people fall victim to that life. But I wanted more. I needed more. And to keep from becoming another statistic, I turned to motivation. I latched on to words that lit a fire in me, messages that reminded me: this pain wasn’t the end of my story.

But even with that drive, I was still searching. I chased things that looked good but left me empty. I ran toward the world and away from God. I was pretending to have it all together… while silently breaking down inside.
Then one morning, everything shifted. I woke up hungover, physically exhausted, but more than that, spiritually empty. I felt this heavy weight I couldn’t shake. And in that moment of brokenness, God called me. Not with a soft whisper, but with a wake-up call I couldn’t ignore.
